Cavity wall insulation is a smart, non-invasive upgrade that fills the empty gap (or “cavity”) between the inner and outer walls of your home with high-performance insulation material. Most UK homes built between the 1920s and 1990s have this cavity – typically at least 40mm wide – designed to prevent damp but left uninsulated, letting precious heat escape.
At Evolve, we use innovative EPS Bonded Bead insulation: tiny polystyrene beads coated in an air-drying bonding agent. We drill small, discreet holes (usually 22mm) into the external mortar joints, then blow the beads in using specialist equipment. They flow freely to achieve a perfect 100% fill with no cold spots, waste or settlement. The holes are sealed seamlessly with matching mortar, leaving your walls looking untouched. It’s quick, clean and works on both existing homes and new builds. Unlike fibres or wool, our bonded beads are water-resistant, rot-proof and breathable, ensuring moisture drains away without causing damp.
